Priscilla’s Journal – source

Excerpts of Priscilla’s journal can be found in Some Family Records of Daniel Bell of Tottenham and of Katherine Barclay his Wife, and Some of their Descendants  / collected and edited by Lady Chapman held at the Alexander Turnbull Library in Wellington NZ.

This is a typescript mss covering the years 1796 – 1816 although not including 1797 or 1814.

In his book A Sort of Conscience: the Wakefields by Philip Temple published in 2002 (Chapter 1, n. 6, p. 555)  he sources Priscilla’s journal in TS format as being in the Mitchell Papers held by the Wakefield Family in Devon.
